The Library of Agudas Chassidei Chabad, adjacent to Lubavitch World Headquarters – 770 Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights, will be exhibiting a unique Menorah in honor of Chanukah.
The golden backed, single row Menorah belonged and was kindled by the Rebbe Rayyatz – the Frierdiker Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak of Lubavitch, each Chanukah.
This Menorah stood on the stepstool in the doorway of his office on the second floor of 770, where he would light it privately, without a crowd or a minyan present.
On display next to it in the library is a photograph that was taken of the Rebbe Rayyatz, as he sat on his holy chair, after kindling the Menorah on Chanukah 5710 (1949), in the above location.
Also on display here is a photo of the Menorah, on the same stepstool, in the doorway of the Rebbe Rayyatz’s office. Nearby, the Rebbe’s holy chair can be seen, upon which he sat while lighting the Menorah.
We would like to come to see this and also view the other displays.
11 – 5 every day.
