Many Rebbes, along with millions of our chevra, were in the mass prisons of the concentration camps.

A lot of Yidden, great and small alike, have been arrested and thrown in prison, having been accused of crimes that they did not commit — and in a lot of cases, the false accusation was made by *another Yid*. Unfortunately, it happens to this day. But, as the Rebbe explains in his 5736 Ma’amer “You Have Given Those Who Fear You Trials,” the Rebbe explains how this is all a nisayon, a test — and it is for the purpose of bringing about a great revelation of G-dliness in the world. Dont we have a mosorah that the Alter Rebbe wanted to establish birchas kohanim every day even in Chutz Laaretz?

other poskim didn’t agree, and Alter Rebbe didnt want to do it on his own.

so my question is, if the vilner gaon wanted the same thing why didn’t it happen?
