Rabbi Shmuel Omer, the longtime Shliach in Ariel and Emanuel in Israel, passed away suddenly on Shabbos, 8 Tishrei, 5781.
Less than a week ago, Rabbi Omer spent Rosh Hashana in 770, as he did every year.
He did not feel well and he returned home.
He is survived by his family.

He was such a great man. I remember him coming all the years to Crown Heights Tishrei. He will be missed. BDE
Rabbi Omer was a big talmid Chochom, he had very interesting Pshat on the Hayom Yom of Rosh Chodesh Adar Sheini, which happens to be his birthday. Great Yid
I just gave him a lift before Rosh Hashanah from 770 to Aishel then down to Midwood where he was staying. I didn’t know I had such a Tzadik in my car… BDE!
He was my good friend
We had a great time together
We learned and spoke a lot
He will be back before you know it
Moshiach now
Yechi hamelech
לא ראיתי מימי מישהו מבטה כל מילה ומילה בתפילה בדיקנות ובקול רם יום אחרי יום
חבל על דאבדין ולא משתכחין
יה׳ זכרו ברוך.
Anyone who knew him and saw the way he davened would know that his mission in this world would complete on Shabbos Teshuva, during Aseres Yemei Teshuva, just two days before Yom Kippur
We should learn not judge others…we never know what kind of battery they have inside
May his neshama be a gutta betta for us all
