Rabbi Shmuel Gelbstein, a respected member of the Chabad community in Israel, passed away suddenly on Friday night, 15 Av, 5785.
He was 57 snd passed away suddenly after suffering cardiac arrest.
Rabbi Gelbstein was a resident of Kfar Chabad. He previously lived in the Chabad neighborhood in Jerusalem. In recent years, he devoted himself to managing the “Chevra Kadisha Perushim” in Jerusalem with great dedication.
The tragedy occurred on Friday night, when Rabbi Gelbstein suddenly collapsed at his home in Kfar Chabad. Despite rescue efforts and CPR attempts performed at the scene, doctors were forced to pronounce him dead.
Rabbi Gelbstein is survived by his wife, Tzipora Gelbstein, children and grandchildren.
The funeral began Motzei Shabbos departing from his home in Kfar Chabad and to the Shamgar funeral home, and burial on Har hazeisim.
