The Levaya of Rabbi Shmuel Yosef Littman Plotkin obm, an elder Chossid from Crown Heights who was the first Shliach to Bardichev, Ukraine, passed by 770 Eastern Parkway on Motzei Shabbos.
The levaya then drove up Kingston Avenue, to stop at Getzel’s Shul, on the corner of President Street and Kingston Avenue, where the longtime Crown Heights resident and scholar served as the Rov for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Devorah Plotkin (Crown Heights), and their children: Rabbi Avrohom Eliyahu Plotkin (Markham, Toronto), Mrs. Mattie Pil (San Francisco), Mrs. Chanie Vogel/Adler (Rochester, NY), Mrs. Fradie Chein (Crown Heights) R’ Schneur Plotkin (Crown Heights), Mrs. Shterna Raskin (Brooklyn Heights), and R’ Levi Plotkin (Florida).
As well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who are following in his footsteps.

Was passed his mid 90’s and repeating mamorim every shabbos afternoon. Davened at length in the children service corridor, kids and adults were privileged to see and hear a chosid daven.
Always quick and easily brought to laughter.
Being m’laveh from 770 passed Getzel shul and simchas beis hashoeiva was perfectly appropriate.
Very few (if any) of that age group recently around and so openly sharing his vast experiences as a chosid.
Farbreng good with our Rebbe
& Thank you for sharing so much with me and my family
