Rabbi Michoel Namdar, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother from Milan and later Crown Heights passed away on Wednesday, 17 Shvat after battling an illness.
He was 67.
He was part of a most prominent family that had a close and unique relationship with the Rebbe and were a driving force in enabling hafotzas hamaayonos in Italy, by helping in establishing the local Bais Chabad in Milan and supporting Chabad Lubavitch in general.
Reb Michoel was completely devoted to the Rebbe, b’lev v’nefesh.
In 1979, with the help of a number of tireless activists, among them Rabbi JJ Hecht, Chabad managed to bring hundreds of Jewish students out of Iran under the guise of traveling to America to study. R’ Michoel, in his position in Milan, served as one of the contact points, helping the students as they traveled through Italy on their way to the USA.
In the 1980s, Jewish refugees were escaping from Iran and transited for many months at a time in Ladispoli, Italy. Upon the instruction of the Rebbe, R’ Michoel took responsibility for establishing support and care for the families, setting up a Chabad House and full time shluchim to serve the refugees. He and his young family spent yomim tovim and summers in Ladispoli, arranging sedarim, camps etc and catering for all their physical and spiritual needs.
He was a member of the Chevre Kadisha in both Milan and Crown Heights.
He is survived by his wife Perel (Altein), and children Menachem Namdar, Levy Namdar, Chani Mockin (Montreal), Toba Leah Golomb, Devora Rivka Namdar and Daniel Namdar.
He is also survived by his mother Malka Namdar and siblings Yisrael Namdar (Milan), Rachel Vardi (Israel), Batsheva Chamami (Rechovot, Israel) Shmuel Namdar (Long Island, NY) and Rabbi Alexander Namdar (Chabad of Sweden).
He was predeceased by his father Refael a’h and his brother Daniel a’h.

אבד חסיד מן הארץ
He was such a special person!
This is the third week in a row that there is a death of a fellow Yid close to Shabbos. What is the message Hashem is trying to tell us? I am no Rav or Mashpia but dear fellow Yidden listen up. Another week of Yesomim. Another Mother/wife alone at a shabbos table. Another special Neshama that will not see their grandchildren. This Shabbos, answer amein out loud. Please do not try to run out before the last Kadish. My own personal thoughts. Hashem please do not take any more Korbanos.
First of all I wanted to acknowledge that the tone of your comment is very respectful.
It’s normal to look for reasons and explanations to help us absorb strategies.
I do believe the Rebbe was against blaming tzaros on ath we do. Instead we can come to Hashem and tell our Tatte that we don’t understand (no explanation is enough)!!
May this be our last tzaara with the arrival of Moshiach now!!
With all do respect, I feel your pain. But our job is to say Ad mosai, and do all we can, tue rest is in Hashem’s hand. To pin point what thing brought brought this about is not up to us as it already has been said in the gemarah, בהדי כבשי דרחמנא למה לך.
עד מתי!!
Lets not be one of those in the language of the Fridiker Rebbe:
יעדער איינער איז יוצא מיט א קרעכץ!
So so sorry to hear this
We need Moshiach now!!
A Gem of a Man !
Heartbreaking!!
Ad mosai!!!
May the family be comforted and moshiach now
Terrible loss for klal yisroel!!!!😥😥😥
Bde, So so sorry to hear
This is too much…
Heartbroken for this news. Moshiach Now, please Hashem.
Forever in our hearts. You’re a gem of a man.
Larger than life

As names are posted on websites for tehilim, I try to add them to my personal list.

Hashem, עד מתי????
I cannot believe it, he was such a sweet person, such a pleasure to speek with, such a respect to everyone.
He was such a special man. May his memory be a blessing to us all, and may we all learn from the example he set for us. This is so heartbreaking.
