Rabbi Berel Lazar, Chief Rabbi of Russia, came to Chicago to Farbreng with the Lubavitch Community and tour some of the Mosdos, on the invitation of Rabbi Daniel Moscowitz, Head Shliach in Illinois.
On Monday evening, Rabbi Lazar addressed a very well attended Rosh Chodesh Kislev Seuda and Farbrengen, that took place at the Bnei Ruven Shul and that was organized by Chabad of Illinois. After an introduction by Rabbi Baruch Hertz, Rabbi Lazar enthralled the audience with stories of his Shlichus and the miraculous transformation of Jewish life in Russia.
Rabbi Lazar’s whirlwind trip also included visits to the Lubavitch Mesivta of Chicago, FREE of Illinois and an interview with the Russian media outlets in Chicago, Lubavitch Girls High School, and concluding with a luncheon of some Chabad supporters.
Special thanks to Rabbi Yosef Shmuel Moscowitz and Rabbi Avremel Kagan for organizing all the details of special visit.
