Tayere Shluchim שיחיו,
As we go forward in the last milliseconds of Galus, we must do all what we can to bring down the already crumbling walls of Galus, Tut Yeder Ainer Altz Vas Ir Kent Tzu Brengen Moshiach.
Last night I was at two Chanukah/Hakhel events, one in Century City and one in the Valley. At Century City just a few minutes before the sunset, I saw a Yid who I knew for many years and I asked him if he had put on Tefillin yet today. He told me he usually does, but just today he had not. I told him we had enough time left and we put on Tefillin and he called over his son to see what his father was doing.
Today, armed with menorahs, Chanukah brochures (besides Tefillin) I was by a doctor I know for 20 years who always declined to put on Tefillin. I gave him a menorah and candles. He was so happy and he told me that his local Chabad Rabbi (Rabbi Mintz) had sent him beautiful ceramic dreidals. I tried again about Tefillin, going back and forth, and finally he tells me he has other patients waiting.
Sensing an opening I told him I can do this really fast and I put the Shel Rosh on with him. After that he changed into another person and thanked me and told me that next time I come let’s do the whole thing so he show his son.
I then accompanied my Rebbetzin, zolt gezunt zein, to a medical appointment she had (bringing along Neshek and Sheva Mitzvos cards besides, menorahs, Chanukah brochures and Tefillin). Baruch Hashem, my Rebbetzin, Odel Miriam bas Bluma Leah is much better and we thank all you again for your Tefillos and Mivtzoim and we ask that you please continue.
When we got to the lobby, I was sure the doctor’s office was on the second floor, but we when got there and asked for the doctor the receptionist told us we needed to go the third floor. When asked, she said she was not Jewish so I told her about the Sheva Mitzvos and gave her a Sheva Mitzva card.
On the way to the correct doctor’s office I met a young man, and after asking, he told me his mother is Jewish (his father of Arabic descent is not) though he told me he knew little or nothing about Judaism. I gave him a Chanukah brochure and menorah and told him the brochure explains how to light the Menorah. I asked what he does and he told me is a resident at Yale University in the cardiac surgical unit and is here for a short while.
I then invited him to our Menorah lighting this Motzei Shabbos and called my nephew Shalom, who exchanged contact information with him (getting contact information is very important to be able have a פעולה נמשכת).
At the doctor’s, when my wife gave her a menorah kit, the doctor opened it and could not stop thanking my wife enough.
ואתם תלוקטו אחד אחד.
Chanukah is the time, Chanukah is when the Rebbe’s message of Hakhel accesses the entire world. We must utilize every last second to burn down the walls of Galus and not get distracted from challenges both גו”ר.
By both the above mentioned Chanukah/Hakhel events, where I had the zechus to speak to very large crowds, right after talking about Chanukah and light, I talked about Tefillin, Mikva, Neshek. I begged people to put on Tefillin and I said whoever already does put on, should carry their Tefillin with them throughout the day.
Shluchim, we must never leave our house without Tefillin, Neshek, etc and of course during Chanukah, without Menorahs and brochures.
ראיתי והנה מנורת זהב כולה וכו’, We see Aharon the Kohen Gadol lighting the Menorah in the Bais HaMikdash HaShlishi, and our Rebbe standing nearby. הרבי הבטיח הרבי יקיים, to make an end of this Galus but we must do what we can and not stop.
The ladies with their Mikva 5000 are a source of great inspiration to the entire world, exactly as was in the days of מצרים. Baruch Hashem, a group of Shluchim have started a global Hakhel Tefillin 10,000 campaign. Let’s get it done. We are approaching Rosh Chodesh Teves which during this month, on Chof Teves we were sent by the Rebbe (along with Rabbis Berel Levin, שיח’ and Nissin Mindel ע”ה) to Russia for the Geula of all the Rebbe’s Seforim, Kesovim and Chafeitzim. The Rebbe then said that since Chof Teves is the day of the Rambam and Chof Daled Teves is the day of the Alter Rebbe therefore the Alter Rebbe is a חבר משלחת along with the Rambam. We then said that since the Rebbe is the משלח, the Rebbe also goes along with us, to which the Rebbe answered “Amen”. The Geulas Haseforim and its urgency is quite clear, and the fight is ongoing as our Rebbe said “Sholomo kumt tzu faren mit’n di seforim mit Moshiach tzuzamen.”
V’Nizke Zen Zich Mit’n Rebbe’n, Neshama melubash B’guf, V’hu Yigalienu, NOW, in the holy city of Yerushalaim in the Bais HaMikdosh HaShlishi
