Rabbi Avrohom Shmuel Bukiet, one of the Shluchim that the Rebbe sent to the holy land of Israel who served as a Mashpia and educator for many years, passed away on Wednesday, 5 Adar, 5781.

He was born on the 4th of Adar, 5711 in the United States, to his parents Rabbi Chaim Meir and Esther Bukiet. As a bochur, he studied in Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch of Montreal with the legendary Mashpia and Mekubal Rabbi Volf Greenglass OBM.
After his marriage to Feiga Bracha, nee Wilhelm, they settled in Crown Heights.
In 1978, he was sent by the Rebbe together with the group of English-speaking Shluchim to the Holy Land. The Bukiets first settled in the city of Tzfas and he then served as the Rabbi of the city of Yokneam and as the Rebbe’s Shliach in Kiryat Ata.
In later years they lived in Kfar Chabad, where Rabbi Bukiet served as a Mashpia at Yeshiva Ohr Simcha and the Yisroel Aryeh Leib Shul. In 5777, he was appointed by Kfar Chabad’s Rabbi Meir Ashkenazi to be a member of the Vaad Haruchni in Kfar Chabad.
Rabbi Bukiet was best known for the 49 seforim he authored and compiled such as the sayings about the Tanya, the Rebbe’s teachings on chinuch, building a home and sholom bayis. He also collected references and the connections of the Chabad Rebbes to the cities of Chevron and Miron.
After he fell ill with Covid-19, he was hospitalized and a Tanya was printed near his place of hospitalization at Assaf Harofeh Hospital in his merit. Many around the world prayed for his recovery.

Baruch Dayan Ha’emes: Avrohom Shmuel ben Chaim Meir.
Baruch Dayan Emes. Deepest condolences. A extraordinary family filled with special Neshamas. May his family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem and may his Neshama rise among the Heavens and go from strength to strength.
Too much already. BDH
We grew up with him and he BH was an example for good things.
So sorry to hear
He was always with a smile and a unique sense of humor which brought smiles to everyone. He was a Peh Mapik Margoliyos and in his unassuming way spread the teachings of all the Rabbeim with his many extraordinary Sefarim. I personally learned so much from him and with him in Montreal Yeshiva. Although I was much younger than him he did not hesitate to share his wealth of knowledge. A tremendous loss for Klal Yisrael.

What a tragic loss to Klal Yisroel and especially to the Chabad Mishpacha.

And may all his Mishpacha be blessed with long life, Simcha and only revealed blessings.
