R’ Yosef Yehoshua Sandhaus, a Lubavitcher chossid who worked as a Mashgiach in South America, passed away in his sleep on Shabbos, 3 Tammuz 5776.
He was 68.
Yossel, as he was known, was a longtime member of the Chabad community in Buenos Aires.
He traveled around Argentina and Uruguay as a Kashrus supervisor of Glatt kosher meat for Israeli companies.
His sudden passing has shocked his family around the world, his friends in the local community and in the Kashrus industry.
He is survived by his wife Ruth Sandhaus and their children Yair, Moishe, Shlomi and Shoshi Sandhaus – Crown Heights.
He is also survived by his parents R’ Hershel and Zisl Sandhaus – Argentina and siblings Mrs. Tzippy Levertov – Pheonix, Arizona; R’ Sruly Sandhaus – Crown Heights; Mrs. Deby Rosenfeld – Zurich, Switzerland.
The levaya will take place in New York on Thursday, leaving Shomrei Hadas at 2:45 pm and passing by 770 at 4:00 pm.
