R’ Yosef Baruch Jacobowitz, a businessman and resident of the Flatbush neighborhood in Brooklyn, passed away on Shabbos, 10 Nissan 5780.
He was 72 and battled cancer.
His father R’ Yaakov OBM was a teacher in the Chabad school in Kiryat Gat, while his mother Zisel OBM was the house mother of the Yeshiva Tomchei Temimim in Kiryat Gat.
He is survived by his wife Fayga, their children Mrs. Gila Chaskel, Mrs. Toby Eisenreich, Mrs. Chana Miriam Zeiler, R’ Zevi Jacobowitz and R’ Benzy Jacobowitz; and grandchildren.
He is survived by his sister Mrs. Adina Segal – Rechovot, Israel.

I was so disturbed by the news when I read of the passing of MR. Jacobowitz Z”L. We sat next to each other in Shule every summer for the past 20 years. He was always kind and soft spoken. A Talmid Chacham with a very warm heart. I considered him a dear friend. I will miss his insights and his infectious smile. I’m truly heartbroken.
wht a pleasant kind gentleman, fondly known as Joe, a real mentch.
He got his big break early on decades ago when r’ nochum preger hired him and he rose in rank and ran the panty hose/hosiery industry known as preger & wertential in the 70’s thru the 80’s
One of his sons is name after r’ nochum , think it is Zevi? zev menachem nochum if my mind recalls?
