R’ Yisroel Aharon Naparstek, a respected Chossid from Kfar Chabad, Israel, passed away on Sunday, 17 Tammuz, 5785.
He was 93.
For many years, Rabbi Naparstek served as a devoted member of the Kfar Chabad Vaad and was a respected Chossid in Kfar Chabad.
He was born in Poland in the year 5692 (1932), and after World War II, his family—like many Chassidic families—found refuge in the displaced persons camp in Poking, Germany, where he joined the local Tomchei Tmimim Yeshiva. He later continued his Torah studies in Paris and Tel Aviv.
He established his home in Kfar Chabad with his wife, Mrs. Batya Devorah Naparstek OBM, who passed away in 5761 (2001).
He is survived by a large Chassidishe family, including sons and daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many of whom serve as Shluchim of the Rebbe and educators in communities across the globe.
He is survived by his children, R’ Yoske Naparstek – Kfar Chabad, R’ Baruch Naparstek – Crown Heights, Mrs. Leah Moscowitz – Chicago, Yehudis Lasker – Kfar Chabad, R’ Shloime Naparstek – Crown Heights, and Stery Green – Israel.
His daughter, Mrs. Gita Borgen obm of Kfar Chabad, passed away in Tammuz 5783.
He is also survived by his siblings, Rabbi Yechiel Naparstek – Kfar Chabad, Rabbi Yechezkel Naparstek – Paris, Mrs. Henya Wineberg – Vancouver, and Mrs. Golda Golowinsky – Crown Heights.
His brother, the mashpia Rabbi Moshe Naparstek OBM, passed away in 5776 (2016).
The Levaya will take place this evening, following the Fast of the Seventeenth of Tammuz, at 9:30 PM, from his home at 15 Admor Hazaken Street in Kfar Chabad to the “Ohel Minyan of the Alter Rebbe.” From there, it will continue to the central shul and then on to the Shamgar Funeral Home.
The procession will leave Shamgar at 11:30 PM to the Chabad section of Har HaMenuchos, where he will be laid to rest.
The family will be sitting Shiva at his home, 15 Admor Hazaken Street, Kfar Chabad.

R Yisroel was a really dedicated chossid, who loved his fellow yid, and especially his family. He will be missed. He went through the war by being in Siberia, where he and his family suvived through great nisim. He will be missed.
