R’ Yechiel Tzvi Goldshmid, a Lubavitcher chossid and longtime resident of the Shikun Chabad neighborhood in the holy city of Tzfas, passed away on Shabbos, 7 Teves 5782.
He was 58.

His grandfather was Rabbi Nochum Goldshmid, the known Mashpia who taught Chassidus to many through shiurim, radio broadcasts and farbrengens and was active with the education of children and orphans.

Gabbai of the main Chabad Shul in the holy city Tzfas, suffered a heart attack as he was preparing to leave his house on Shabbos morning. He was 58 and is survived by his wife and child, his parents and siblings.
“He was an innocent and honest man who had a huge heart who devoted himself at all stages of his life to help those around him,” his brother said, noting that Tzvika connected people to the Rebbe and Chassidus “in many ways.”
On Shabbos Parshas Vayigach, Goldshmid was preparing to go to Heichal Levi Yitzchok, the central Chabad shul in Tzfas, where he served as a gabbai. He suffered a heart attack and paramedics who arrived at the scene tried to resuscitate him but were unsuccessful.
