Another great loss. It is heartbreaking to read this and all the other wonderful people who have passed away since this plague began. I send my deepest condolences to Devorah and daughter Tzippy Furst, whom I taught eons ago in Beis Rivkah, and to the entire family.

Words fail me. Mr. Scheiner was a true Chassid — pious, modest. He & his wife graciously hosted me on many occasions. My deepest condolences to the Scheiner family — may they be comforted among the mourners of Zion in Jerusalem; may we all be reunited with our loved ones soon in the coming of Moshiach bekarov mamash!

Reb herschel shiner was like a uncle to me, he always had a smile on he’s face and a good chasudish word to say, i just had a conversation with my father about the whole situation, and our resolution was that if i ever meet a rabbi who is not one who is leading by example that i should just think of “reb hershol” as what a real proper jew should look like!
I will miss you “reb herschel”

As a young couple we have found memories of being hosted by Rabbi Scheiner and Yblt”a his Rebittzen. A Genuine and kind person with a great sense of humor. Sending our love and condolences to Chanie and the whole family.

As a brochur, I didn’t have family in crown heights.

Herschel and Devorah opened their home to me like a son.

Every time I speak to Devorah, she is up to a new chesed project, with Herschel in full support.

Herschels warmth will ever be remembered.

Moshiach now.
