R’ Gedalya Schmalberg, longtime Crown Heights resident, passed away on Wednesday, Shvii shel Pesach, 21 Nissan, 5780.
He was 64 and was infected with coronavirus.
R’ Schmalberg, a beloved husband and father, davened at Shain’s shul in Crown Heights. He was a retired computer network engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Aliza Chana Schmalberg, and children, Yisroel Schmalberg, Avraham Meir Schmalberg, Miriam Baum, Aharon Elazar Schmalberg, Chaim Yaacov Schmalberg, Yosef Yitzchak Schmalberg and Tzvi Hirsh Schmalberg.
He is also survived by his siblings, Andrea Newquist, Abby Hope, Ben Schmalberg and Cal Schmalberg, all of California.
The levaya will take place tomorrow (Friday) passing by 770 Eastern Parkway at 1:00 pm and 2:00 at Montefiore Cemetery.
