Rabbi Dovid Scheiner, a teacher for many years at Oholei Torah Educational Institute in Crown Heights, passed away Sunday night, considered 12 Shvat 5771.
He was 74.
Known as a great Talmid Chacham, in later years he worked at Intergovernmental Philatelic Corporation in Manhattan where his position included giving daily Shiurim for the employees of the office and the building at Mincha time.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Chanie and Rabbi Levi Fogelman – Shluchim in Natick, MA; grandchildren, and brothers Rabbi Leibel Scheiner – Boston, Rabbi Yisroel Mordechai Scheiner – Boro Park, and sister, Mrs. Rochel Knopfler – Union City, NJ.
The Levaya will take place Monday, 10:00 AM at Shomrei Hadas and passing by 770 Eastern Parkway at 10:45 AM.
The family will be sitting Shiva at the home of Rabbi Yisroel Mordechai Scheiner, 1867 55th Street in Brooklyn.
From Tuesday on, Mrs. Fogelman will be sitting Shiva at her home, 168 Boden Lane, Natick, MA.

Rabbi Scheiner was a Rebbe in Ohelei Torah very eidel and refined, always had a smile for every kid.

he wasnt my teacher but, as a kid he always said hi to me and he started learning with me. was a very nice man!!!! always had a smile for me. 🙂
