I remember (uncle) Shiyu from my days on Lefferts Avenue as a frequent visitor to my neighbors, the Jacobson’s. He was friendly and had a good sense of humor always. Those who knew him know that sarcastic humor I’m referring to. May his family be comforted and may we all reunite with our loved ones with Moshiach now!
He donated so many seforim
Uncle shiyu was the best! He always had the best advice and his sister Faigy took care of him for years! May she be blessed for all of her chesed!
My uncle sheu was the best uncle, he always had a sefer in his hand always learning. He always had a listening ear for everyone and gave the best advice. It was an honor to have him as our uncle , and will be greatly missed.
Growing up around the corner from the Jacobsons and being a close friend of Fraidel, I have such fond memories of the time I spent in their home. Uncle Shiyu was always sitting with a sefer in front of him and had an easy smile and a great sense of humor. What made the greatest impression on me was the way his sister Faigy Jacobson so wholeheartedly opened her home and her heart and cared for Shiyu with the utmost respect, warmth and devotion. Faigy is the epitome of kindness, generosity, chessed and Ahavas Yisroel. May she be benched with אריכת… Read more »
