This Purim, for the first time in 50 years, The Beis Hamidrash on Lincoln Place had a full minyan.
Close to 50 people came on Motzai Shabbos and Sunday morning to hear the megilah at the Beis Hamedrash located at 1185 Lincoln Place between Albany and Troy.
The Beis Hamidrash currently has a minyan on Shabbos morning followed by a Farbreingen. On Mondays and Wednesdays at 8 pm, Torah classes are given by Rabbi Meyer Shushan and are followed by Maariv at 9 pm. The Minyan and the attendance at the classes increases every week!
The Beis Hamedrash is undergoing renovations to become a convenient place for those who want to study in a quiet and pleasant space in Northern Crown Heights.

According long time residents in crown heights 50 years ago the whole neighborhood was jewish with shuls etc… i have even heard that on s. Marks (3 blocks down) it was the huge bobover beis medrash, the first one with air conditioner and a big mikvah…. this Lincoln shul is bringing back Torah and Tefila in a place that the Rebbe didn’t want them to leave, surely it gives a big nchas ruach to the Rebbe
On shabbos they have a mincha mariv and the weekly living torah projection too!

Is this building itself actually a former shul (50 years ago)? Or is this the first time there’s been a minyan of any kind on Lincoln Place?
Just curious! Please enlighten us all about the history here.
Thanks, and brachah vehatzlochah!
A real chasid!
keep up the good work!
