Students of Cheder at the Ohel enjoyed a fun and informative program in the 2nd tent at the Ohel on Monday Rosh Chodesh Kislev.
Cheder rebbe Rabbi Liebel Paris led the program, explaining how the month of Kislev is the heart of Chassidus.
The children said the twelve pesukim with chayios. They drew pictures to put on a calendar visualizing how full the month of Kislev is with simcha.
Rabbi Paris introduced a Tanya Baal Peh contest, and on the auspicious day of Yud Tes Kislev, one Cheder at the Ohel student will win a leather bound Tayna with their name engraved on it.
The children wrote individual Pans and went in to the Ohel with their requests to the Rebbe for brachas and to say tehillim.
They were then treated to a delicious meal prepared by Cheder mother Mrs. Riki Fishbein. They washed, benched, made l’chaim with grape juice and sang.
The event was sponsored by Rabbi Yanki Feder and family.
