Educators and parents from around the world will be spending 2 days next month in a resort town in the southern Pacific Ranges of the Coast Mountains in the province of British Columbia in Canada.
Their stay at the Four Seasons in scenic Whistler has loftier goals than just fresh air and relaxation, although that is a perk that will not be wasted.
They will be hearing from leaders in the early childhood and education spaces and obtaining valuable tools and exclusive insights necessary to set children on a trajectory for ultimate growth and success.
The Global Early Childhood Conference is promising that at the conclusion of the highly charged and impactful 2 days, participants will leave feeling energized, refueled, and armed with the tools to unlock the full potential of their children.
Organizing it are Shluchim Rabbi Naftali and Sarah Rotenstreich, heads of Philip Berley Preschool of the Arts, a school run by the Chabad Center for Jewish Discovery in Gramercy Park. It has 5 locations in Lower Manhattan that combine a solid foundation in both Judaism and the arts.
“We want to take a lesson from the children, who can fight one minute and are best friends the next,” said Mrs. Rotenstreich. “Children would rather be happy than be right. We hope to gather together the best and brightest in education from all ends of the spectrum, and work together to make an impact on the world.”
The conference, aiming to be a global exchange of innovation, ideas, and best practices in early childhood development and parenting, will take place on Wednesday, July 25 and Thursday, July 26.
70 slots are available by-invitation-only and will be an all-women event to allow participants to freely recharge, regroup, practice wellness, enjoy fine cuisine and mingle with incredible industry women, Rotenstreich said.
Women leaders with global influence will be speaking, among them Ambassador Nancy Brinker, Founder of Susan G. Komen Foundation; Chagit Leviev, President of Leviev Companies; philanthropist Tzili Charney; Nina Roket, Managing Partner, Olshan LLP; actress Ronalee, fashionista Kim Heyman, Rachel Factor of Spirituality for Women; Ariana Stolarz, Chief Strategist of MRM // McCann.
