As Gimmel Tammuz—30 years approaches, and Bochurim around the world eagerly seek ways to strengthen their connection to the Rebbe, the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim launched a series of impactful initiatives to assist Bochurim in their Hachanos.
Shabbos Hachana
This Shabbos, hundreds of Bochurim will gather in Morristown, NJ, for a special Shabbos Hachana. Through joint Tefillos, learning and lively Farbrengens in the spirit of Sheves Achim Gam Yochad, the Bochurim will leave uplifted and energized as they prepare for Gimmel Tammuz.
Together with the guest Mashpia, Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor of Thailand, the weekend will be joined by Bochurim learning in Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Morristown, Beis Medrash Oholei Torah, Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Nyack, Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Baltimore, and Yeshivas Beis Dovid Shlomo New Haven.
Another Shabbos Hachana is set to take place in a few weeks in Detroit, MI, joined by Bochurim learning in Yeshivas Oholei Yosef Yitzchok Detroit, Yeshivas Oholei Menachem Mendel Toronto and Yeshivas Ohr Eliyahu Chicago.
Yom Hachana
To further aid Bochurim in their Hachanos, an exclusive ‘Day of Hachana’ will take place in various locations across the globe, giving Bochurim the opportunity to delve into the Rebbe’s Torah with specially prepared Shiruim, curriculums and events.
Mivtzah Hanachos
Back by popular demand for its sixth year, the well-known Hanachos program, launched in partnership with JEM, will encourage Bochurim in Mesivtos to watch Farbrengens of the Rebbe and summarize the Sicha in their own words. The program, which spans five weeks, not only helps Bochurim understand the Rebbe’s words but also internalize them, strengthening their personal connection, all while learning a skill that is sure to benefit them for many years to come.
Many Bochurim have already expressed their appreciation for this important Mivtza in the past, stating that they were never able to properly follow and understand a Farbrengen of the Rebbe until they joined the Hanachos program.
Many Mesivtos around the world have already joined this Mivtza.
Kovetz Nosi Hador
A beautifully curated learning curriculum titled Kovetz Nosi Hador will be learned over the next month in Zal’s around the world. Through three sections, the Kovetz explores the concept of a Nossi Hador, its essence, value and purpose, accompanied by special video presentations.
In light of the Rebbe’s words inscribed in a letter dated Gimmel Tammuz, 5710 – that each of us must contemplate that the Rebbe is the Nossi, and all Hashpaos come through him, and through him we are connected on high – this curriculum offers an invaluable opportunity for Bochurim to strengthen their Hachanos as Gimmel Tammuz draws near.
Many Yeshivos around the world have already joined this Mivtza.
Magazine
For the first time, a series of magazines are being prepared especially for Bochurim, and will be distributed in Yeshivos worldwide. The magazine series, titled Es Ponecha Avakesh, will be published in conjunction with A Chassidisher Derher magazine, and will focus on several core concepts of Hiskashrus.
Brimming with inspiring and original articles and pictures, these magazines will seek to uplift Bochurim, adding an extra boost of encouragement as they diligently prepare for Gimmel Tammuz. The first issue will cover a core element of Hiskashrus—learning the Rebbe’s Torah, and is slated to arrive in Yeshivos before Shavous.
