Hatomim Pini Hazan, a Chabad bochur from Rome, Italy, who lived more recently in Crown Heights, passed away on Wednesday, 9 Iyar, 5785.
He was 42.
Pini grew up on shlichus in Rome, Italy. In recent years, he lived in Crown Heights, where he worked in the Shluchim Office for twenty years.
Pini was known for his sensitive and modest demeanor as well as his mentchlickeit and eidelkeit. He was extremely generous and present in the lives of his loved ones. Pini was very learned and knowledgeable. He was very connected to the Rebbe’s inyonim and cared deeply about upholding the Rebbe’s horaos.
He passed away after a lengthy illness which he battled with strength and courage.
He is survived by his parents, Rabbi Yitzchok and Sarah Hazan of Rome, Italy, and his siblings Chani Benjaminson (Providence, RI), Sholom Ber Hazan (Rome, Italy), Shmulik Hazan (Miami), Etti Hazan (Crown Heights), Motti Hazan (Crown Heights), Rivky Hazan (Crown Heights), Zalmi Hazan (Miami), Mushky Lipshitz (Crown Heights), and Batya Miller (Miami).
The Levaya will take place tomorrow, Thursday, passing by 770 at 2:00 PM.
Shiva will be at 541 Crown Street.
Rabbi and Mrs. Hazan and Sholom Ber will be in NY until Monday 12 pm.
Shmulik, Zalmi, Batya until Sunday.
