Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin and his family took a trip with Saadia Hershkop deep into Chevron to the gravesite of the founder/renewer of Chevron, Rebbetzin Menucha Rochel Slonim-Schneerson (1798-1888).
She was the daughter of the Rebbe DovBer, the Mitteler Rebbe, who sent her there to revive the ancient holy city.
“Deep into Chevron!?” Anyone can go there – no need for tour guides. The rode and Hebron actually go deeper to the homes of amazing yidden living in Hebron.

It’s deep in Chevron. Trust me, I lived there for years and as a close friend of the community and of Danny Cohen I’ve seen the incredible hard work and mesiras nefesh. It can look normal at times but the situation can escalate very fast. The army has soldiers in a guard tower and there are cameras etc but there were some very rough years.
