While tens of millions of people around the world were focused on the World Series at Fenway Park in Boston on Thursday night, Chof Cheshvan, a group of Lubavitchers gathered together only a stone’s throw away at the New England Hebrew Academy to celebrate the birthday of the Rebbe Rashab (1860-1920), founder of Tomchei Temimim yeshiva.
Led by guest fabreinger Rabbi Avrohom Glick of Melbourne, Australia close to 50 men, including almost 20 Shluchim got to hear riveting stories of the Rebbe Rashab, personal Chasidishe stories told by Rabbi Glick, nigunim, farbaysen and much more.
The fabrengen went until the wee hours of the morning, long after the outcome of the game at Fenway was decided by the pitching of two Jewish pitchers, Breslow and Rosenthal.
