If I am not mistaken, it’s Rav MM Kupershtak, a chosid who was also an eid (for the Kesuba) by OUR rebbe’s chasuna.
There’s also a photo of him, with the FR and Rashag (on a bench) which is published in Yemei Melech and elswhere.
Here’s yet another one (with RMMK behind the FR, on the right):

2 points:
1)the rebbetzin said about the rebbe rashab’s picture that he had a white beard and the picture took out the rebbe rashab’s hadras ponim almost entirely
2)threbbe said by some farbrengen’s that the Frierdeke rebbe looked like the rebbe maharash keyoduah the mayseh that someone went into the rebbe rashab witch new the rebbe maharash and almost fainted!
לא באתי אלא להעיר
For example there are a few posed pictures of the Rebbe when some Israeli politicians went in to the Rebbe for Yechidus. (I’m not sure which but) on one of the Peninim volumes u see someone ask the Rebbe if he can pose with Him for a photo and the Rebbe agreed and the picture was taken.
Thanks for posting!
The Rebbe did pose for many pictures particularly for his grandson.
Can anyone identify in the 3rd picture on the sled the person near the Rebbe with beard and Russian fur hat??
amazing pics.
Loving the pictures and the Rebbe’s holy face!
Most of these pictures originally are from the Rebbe’s grandson, for whom he posed.
The standard (and only) picture of the Rebbe Rashab (posed, sitting, hands on chair-arms) was taken in Europe. Those who knew him said it was not an accurate picture of him (besides the hat which he never wore in Lubavitch. A shtreimel, or Soyvlener Hittel was de rigeur). SO Rabbi Nochem Kaplan, in his younger years, painted a copy (in color) and went around to all the eltereh chassidim who had seen the Rashab (including the rebbetzin CM) and did not conclude the image until one and all agreed that it was “spot-on.” In that (color) painting, he appears to… Read more »

The Frierdige Rebbe actually sat for a portrait by Tanchum Levine, OH. Or so TL reported. He had the painting but I don’t know if he allowed anyone to see it.
Thank you so much!
#6: Yes, it looks very similar to the Rebbe Rashab’s picture. So I would guess that this is a pasport picture.
#5, yes, please please background!
And anyone with even iphoto can fix up this important and precious picture.
Do we only fix up our holy media when we raise 2 million bucks (ie JEM)?
The Freidiker Rebbe would pose for his grandson, many of the pictures we have today are from him
Love these pictures
Doesn’t the 2nd picture look like the Previous Rebbe posed?
It’s interesting, being that I don’t ever recall The Rebbe Posing.
can we get a background explanation to the 3rd picture please?
