The Avner Institute presents a unique photo of the Previous Lubavitcher Rebbe sitting on the porch which is right off his yechidus room in 770.
The porch is on the right side of 770. The building seen in the picture is now the Rebbe’s library (that’s how it looked before an additional floor was added and a new brick façade was added to the entire building (to resemble 770), over twenty years ago). Greenery was placed around the perimeters of the porch to obstruct the view of passersby on the street.
With special thanks to the Gal family from Petach Tikva, Israel, and to Rabbi Yosef Minkowitz, Principal Beth Rivkah Academy Canada.
