Hi Boys and Girls! Welcome back to the Parsha Studio!
In Parshas Bechukosai, Hashem promises the Jewish people that if they follow the teachings of the Torah and observe the Mitzvos, they will be rewarded with abundance and prosperity. Although we must work hard and take practical steps, such as planting and cultivating trees, we should always remember that our success is ultimately dependent on our adherence to the ways of the Torah and our commitment to fulfilling Hashem’s will.
Today, we will bake some delicious Mix’N’Match cookies using a unique ingredient: butterscotch chips. These chips look similar to chocolate chips but have a distinct buttery flavor. We will learn the cool technique of how to create a two-toned cookie by rolling out two different flavored cookies and, like a puzzle, swapping the leaf cutout to the other flavor cookie. The leaf-shaped cookie cutter serves as a reminder of nature and the message from this week’s Parsha. It reminds us that we can only receive abundance through nature by doing what Hashem wants.
