A project which had 7th Grade students from Crown Heights painting tiles for a large street mural has been expanded to include the entire community.
Arranged by Bikur Cholim volunteer Sarit Kramer in collaboration with The Painted Pot, the project is a grand gesture of achdus and ahavas yisrael, joining the community in a huge wall mural prominently displayed on Kingston Avenue, made up of hand-painted tiles.
This heartfelt artwork created will be a reminder to passers-by of how all of our efforts joined together can make a difference.
Due to many requests, Bikur Cholim has arranged for a one-time opportunity for community members to partner with Bikur Cholim’s vital work, by painting a tile which will be included in the mural.
A ‘Paint a Tile Party’ will be held on Sunday, May 9, at Beis Eliezer Yitzchok, 394 Kingston Avenue (near Montgomery St.) from 11 am – 4 pm.
The cost is $180 to sponsor and paint a tile.

Keep up the great work! CH bikur Cholim rocks!
Isn’t $180 standard for tzedakah fundraisers? My 7th grade daughter did it in Bnos Menachem and they didn’t ask us to pay a penny for the activity, so I don’t begrudge them asking adults who want to participate to at the least cover the cost.
go esty nice to see you in the back
cant wait to see your work of art!!!
That’s a very nice donation but for those of us who can’t afford it, would they really turn us away if we offered maybe $5 a tile?
if it was less i would bring my kids
i cant only have one person in the family do this
I see you dedicated it to Deid. He’d be very proud!
