With the spread of coronavirus, and many quarantined and everyone social distancing, outdoor Minyanim for daily prayers have sprung up around the Crown Heights neighborhood.
On Tuesday, the Crown Heights Beis Din issued an emergency notice, instructing that all shuls and men’s Mikvaos must be closed at this time until further notice.
Over the past week, many Crown Heights residents could be seen davening outside of their homes, so as to daven with a minyan yet keep the required amount of distance recommended to stop the spread of the virus.
Minayanim were also held outside of 770 Eastern Parkway, after the gabboim of the Main Shul of 770 Eastern Parkway notified that doors will be closed because of the spread of coronavirus. The upstairs Shul and 770 offices were closed off as well.
A Whatsapp group has been set up for people who are a chiyuv – needing a minyan to recite kaddish, to enable them to find an available minyan.

For those who choose to participate in these minyanim, please PLEASE maintain a minimum of 6 feet between you and anyone else. Doctors keep emphasizing this as critically important.
Yes, outdoors is obviously better, But still even Outdoors it can spread, There needs to be a Minimum of 6 feet (preferably 10 feet) distance between people or else chas visholom it can spread, These outdoor Minyonim are a good thing but only if the Minimum of 6 feet distance is very strictly enforced (its up to each person to enforce it for them and for anyone near them), as well if someone comes to close to you, you need to move back, sometimes in this currant situation people dont realize how close they get, this is Pikuach Nefesh.
Of 770 chained make me cry, but seeing the minyanim in the streets are beautiful.
Please remind people kindly that they need to be 6’ apart. Outside isn’t not sufficient for social distamcing.
In many states, our Ravs, Beis Dins, etc have been encouraged by local health authorities and the CDC that even minyans outside should not be happening. Social distancing is crucial and while in the pictures, there are people standing further apart than usual, it certainly does look to be a minimum of 6 feet.
The Rebbe would be very proud!!
and would have demanded that no one daven in a minyan weeks ago which could have saved many lives.
IT IS FORBIDDEN TO DAVEN WITH A MINYAN. DO NOT INTERACT WITH ANYONE OUTSIDE OF YOUR HOME. ONE MISSTEP AND YOU CAN DEVASTATE AN INDIVIDUALS LIFE AND THE DOMINO EFFECT WILL BE TERRIBLE! 6 FT WILL WORK IF THERE IS 100% CONSISTENCY WHICH IS BEYOND OUR HUMAN CAPACITY. ONLY LEAVE HOME FOR VITAL NECESSITIES AND WHERE POSSIBLE, HAVE ITEMS DELIVERED. IF NOT POSSIBLE ORGANIZE FOR ONE PERSON TO SHOP FOR A GROUP OF PEOPLE.

Is the 6 foot distance the concern or is there another concern? If that is the concern, can I take a walk outside in a quiet street? If the minyan is guaranteed more than 6 feet I. E. Everyone on their own porch, would that be ok?
wow we want Moshaich now that is all i can say
They should have a few shuls open for post Corona individuals. Once you got it and recovered you can’t transmit it to someone who also got it and recovered.
This is NOT true. There are at least two different strains of the virus and someone who recovered from one can get the other. It is also NOT yet known whether someone who recovers has immunity or if they can be reinfected. You are spreading dangerous misinformation. NO MINYANIM! This is mamash pikuach nefesh and these minyanim must stop immediately.
