Everyone is worried every time they open the news these days. One article after another is about school, Shul and Mikvah closures. Each article is more depressing than the next.
However, in times of darkness, there is always light. The good news is that a Yeshiva that encompasses the entire world will be launching today. This new global Zal will ensure that Torah learning will be happening 24 hours a day as it spans every time zone and is located on every continent throughout the world.
Under the auspices of Igud Mesivtos V’Yeshivos Lubavitch, and in partnership with the Hanhalas Hayeshivos, a virtual Seder Yeshiva will be rolling out today (Wednesday) at IgudYeshivos.com/yeshiva. As Bochurim were forced to go home, Lichsheyafutzu Mainesecha Chutza, Igud Mesivtos V’Yeshivos saw this as an opportunity for their Torah learning to be spread to every corner of the world.
Knowing that the anchor of keeping a set-time devoted to connecting with Sechel Eloki is what keeps bochurim going, Igud Mesivtos V’Yeshivos arranged live Shiurim, which can be accessed either by phone or online. This will provide Bochurim with a daily shiur in Nigleh and Chassidus.
Setting this up was no easy task. Igud Mesivtos V’Yeshivos working around the clock together with Zalman Hertz, Yoel Shernofsky, and Mendel Lezak, a dedicated group of skilled bochurim.
A hotline was also set up by the talented Rabbi Dovid Zirkind to access live shiurim and previous shiurim as well. Shiurim will be given by the experienced Mechanchim and Roshei Yeshivos from around the world.
The program will launch with Shiurim given by Rabbi Ezra Shochet, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Ohr Elchonan Chabad-Los Angeles), Rabbi A.D. Gancz of Morristown Yeshiva and Rabbi Fishel Oster of Oholei Torah.
Rabbi Mendel Itzinger, Director of Igud Yeshivos sees this as something even greater.
For years, he has been hearing people say that they wished they could have maximized their time in Yeshiva. As many fathers are now at home, this is an opportunity for them to relive their Yeshiva years and join their son in learning.
It is also an opportunity to affect the entire family, now together at home.
“With this challenge, comes a unique opportunity for bochurim to be an example to their siblings and a joy to their parents, and have a structure even in a distracting environment, and to acquire knowledge in a matter they wouldn’t usually have the opportunity to know,” says Rabbi Itzinger.
The Shiurim will be streaming live starting at 12pm EST on https://igudyeshivos.com/yeshiva, and by phone: (929) 281-6000.

Yasher Koach!
little confused:
title: “A global virtual Yeshiva will launch today for all ages”
but the sign up form requires an input for yeshiva and shiur
So, I’m an adult now working from home more than I’d like to and would love access to these shiurim either in real time or else via recording
How can I sign up?
I’ll add an option in there
those two categories are not required
Thank you so much !
