Orah Mital Joins Chinese Auction

A Chinese Auction with singing and dancing was held this month in Crown Heights in support of a girl recovering from a traumatic brain injury.

The women’s only evening on the 8th night of Chanukah at the Eshel Hall benefited the medical and recovery costs of 22-year-old Orah Mital Habosha.

Since the age of 15 when Habosha was struck in a tragic car accident, she has not been able to communicate properly with her family and friends.

Organizers of the evening from her Recovery Campaign said “Orah Mital continues to amaze us all with her strength and courage to keep on trying.”

They said that expensive treatments and therapy sessions are required for recovery of a traumatic brain injury. “Ceaseless patience and unwavering faith” are a major factor as well.

The event featured Esther Freeman, a performer who composes her own music and writes her own lyrics. Accompanying herself on guitar, she sang slow soulful ballads and high-energy songs.
