In honor of Rosh Chodesh, grades 7 and 8 in the Oholei Torah Mechina Division were surprised to a full catered breakfast, and special event.
After davening instead of going to their regular places in the lunchroom, the talmidim were escorted to the grand Ballroom, where tables were set “fit for a king” with a full breakfast.
Music, D’vrei Torah and singing permeated the breakfast, which gave the talmidim a special appreciation for Rosh Chodesh, and added most happy atmosphere for the whole day.
Rabbi Yossi Bryski, Director of OTEG organized the event, and Rabbi Levi Borenstein said a D’var Torah.
Rabbi Sholom Goldstein, Principal of the Mechina Division said that this is just one of the many exciting events that will be forthcoming for the upcoming year, all geared towards motivating the talmidim to do their utmost in limud and darchei haChassudus.
…leads to eating disorders. Obesity is a growing problem in our community, especially among our children. When food is used as a reward, you might be fostering an eating disorder which will manifest in the child’s teen years.
did you see those cups each hand dipped into chocolate and sprinkles!
thanks to the brave boys that woke up very early to set up
beatiful!!!
🙂
For imbuing a love for learning and Yiras Shamaim to the Talmidim
“all geared towards motivating the talmidim to do their utmost in limud and darchei haChassudus“ WOW – in the old days limud meant “pas b`melach“ (bread and water), and darchei haChassidus DISCOURAGED geshmak foods.
We would mock misnagdish bochurim and their gedolim for asking for a second portion of ice cream and cake.
Times they sure are a changing!
this is all thanks to the bochrim who volinteered
Has been a tremendous success since joining as Menahel, yasher koach!
