This past Motzoei Shabbos, the Oholei Torah Mesivta on the Troy Avenue in Crown Heights held a grand Melaveh Malka in honor of the institution’s 60th birthday on the 19th of Teves.
Joining the Mesivta bochurim were the mechina division with their Menahel Rabbi Chaim Yisroel Wilhelm. With set tables, the bochurim heard from speakers, each portraying their memories of Oholei Torah.
Speakers included Mashpia Rabbi Shlomo Majesky, Rabbi Bentzion Stock and R’ Yosef Katzman. R’ Chaim Fogelman, joined for a kumzitz and ended the evening with singing and dancing.
Rabbi Zushe Wilhelm, Menahel of the Mesivta, said: “The evening gave the young bochurim a deeper appreciation and understanding of the zechus they have being in Oholei Torah.”
Many events, learning projects, farbrengens will be held throughout the upcoming year, celebrating this milestone event, announced Rabbi Joseph Rosenfeld, erev shabbos to the staff and faculty of Oholei Torah.
