To accommodate the many bochurim who wish to enter the Oholei Torah Zal, the Board of Directors, together with Rabbi Yossi Langsam, Executive Director and Rabbi Mendel Blau, Menahel Kloli, undertook a major expansion of the Raitport Beis Medrash.
For the coming year, Oholei Torah Bais Medrash expanded to host about 400 bochurim from over 22 countries worldwide and 30 states across America.
Over the summer months, the Zal offices and facilities were relocated, creating an additional 3000 square feet to the Bais Medrash.
Rabbi Elchonon Lesches, Dean of Bais Medrash, said this is a moment of pride for each and every alumni of Oholei Torah, to see how Oholei Torah rises to the occasion and goes above and beyond to accept the many bochurim wishing to learn and grow in the special atmosphere that is found only in Oholei Torah.
The following Mashpi’im and Maggidei Shiurim joined the faculty, to give each bochur the maximum attention they deserve.
Rabbi Yossi Shmuckler, Meishiv, Rabbi Blasenstein – Meishiv and Maggid Shiur, Rabbi Vigler – Meishiv and Bochen, Rabbi Shaw Mashgiach, Rabbi Spiero, Mashgiach, Rabbi Levi Greenbaum – Mashpia.
This expansion project is one of many that Oholei Torah is currently undertaking in all its divisions, following the Rebbe’s vision that Oholei Torah should expand and grow to accept multitudes of Talmidim.

Wow! Amazing to see shteiging away!
We all need to learn from Oholei Torah – Each board member and administrator puts their personal issues aside – they bring in new young chevra – and together they are building even a bigger empire of Chinuch Al tahars Hakodesh =-
Looks organized, big, clean and capable of holding a sizable amount of students. Commendable effort. Done, as explained, to address the evolving greater number of students. So, physically things have been done to address physical space and numbers, increasing square footage, desks, faculty…. I wonder if there’s expansion of education, to address evolving greater area of education. The seder and style of limudim might have sufficiently addressed the then current and immediate future demands of a bochur to yungerman/shliach track. Now, post 3-tammuz, and with limited standard shlichus positions available, perhaps education can include klipas noga areas like business management… Read more »
Yeshiva exists ultimately because Hashem wants us to learn his torah. Out of everyone in the world bochurim are at the front line of that. That’s their job. They’re like soldiers in the army. So while they’re there, they do it fully and worry about what comes after that, after yeshiva. If you want to send ur kid to a more modern type yeshiva, feel free. But our hardcore yeshivas aren’t changing bc some ppl don’t like it. And while your at it, why not include technology. smartphones, tablets and computers. Because you know that is very outside the box… Read more »
The future of lubavitch depends on the Langsam brothers!

What beautiful nachas bh
How I yearn to be able to go back and sit in yeshiva again.
So much missed opportunity while I had it.
You won’t truly appreciate what you have until it’s far from you. Make the best of your time in yeshiva. You don’t really have time like this again. Trust me.
I spend 2-3 hour per day learning aside for my 9-5, it’s not the same. If I would go back to yeshiva now I would sit and learn from morning to night.
Enjoy your best years of your life
Well said. You’ve captured word for word how I feel too.
huge yasher koach to Rabbi Lesches, how the zal has grown under his leadership !
I am a (relatively fresh) alumnus of oholei torah beis medrash I cannot thank the hanhala enough for what has been hands down the best year of my yeshiva life (so far) It’s a really special year that one can grow and really thoroughly enjoy bgu”r And my advice to all the new Talmidim is Take advantage of every moment It’s only once in a lifetime that you can be sitting in a room with literally all of yo ur friends and world class hanhala and just have everything brought to you on a silver platter Savor it because it’ll… Read more »
