Parents and grandparents joined together on Sunday to celebrate as 120 talmidim of grade eight of Oholei Torah graduated, culminating their studies in Oholei Torah Elementary.
The graduation included a few Siymim made by students; Hatomim Mendel Feldman made a Siyum on a whole Masechta learned this year, Yankel Tzfasman made on Maseches Sota, and Shloime Katz on the entire Sefer Hamada.
A Dvar Torah was said by hatomim Dovid Altein, who also thanked the teachers and principals for all their tireless work throughout the year.
Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos, spoke to the talmidim about how fortunate they are to be in the Rebbe’s Yeshiva and they should continue to be successful in their studies and grow to be Chasidim of the Rebbe.
Rabbi Sholly Weiser thanked the teachers and principals of the all the boys’ years in yeshiva.
Rabbi Chaim Yisroel Wilhelm, menahel of the Oholei Torah Mechina, spoke to the bochurim to take lessons from their parents and parents and follow in their ways, and to learn from Yehoshua and Colaiv about the connection to a Rebbe.
Talmidim that learned the Gemara Baal Peh received a special award, as well as all out of town students.
Rabbi Wilhelm thanked the teachers and their families for their support for all their dedication throughout the year.
“The Talmidim should continue to give their parents and families, much continued Nachas, and we wish all the talmidim a gezunte zummer and hatzlacha in their journey in Yeshiva,” Rabbi Wilhelm said.
