Only 2 weeks left to get up to $5,000 paid on your overdue water and sewer bill.
New York State can help eligible homeowners who have overdue water bill with up to $5,000 paid directly to NYC DEP or other local provider.
The last date to mail your application is August 31, 2023. Applications are available online at https://otda.ny.gov/programs/water-assistance/.
Applicants must 1) have the bill in their name, 2) be SNAP eligible or low income according to HEAP guidelines (less than $4,608 per month for a family of 3, up to $7,899 for a family of 10, etc) 3) have bills overdue at least 20 days.

Considering you can’t even drink the city water here, and probably shouldn’t be bathing with it either. They should be sponsoring some kind of filtration system for people.
