On Thursday March 21, 2024, at the direction of Mayor Eric Adams, Police Commissioner Edward Caban and Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey, all NYPD Chiefs deployed in the NY Subway system on Thursday in a high profile show of force.
Chief Richie Taylor, the highest ranking frum NYPD Officer, told COLlive, “being an NYPD Chief means leading by example and leading from the front. Today’s initiative sends a strong message that professional police presence in the subways is a top priority for this administration and we will be present in the transit system 24/7/365. It also shows our police officers that their Chiefs appreciate what they do and they’re not out here alone.”
As part of the initiative, the Chiefs engage directly with riders to hear their concerns and find solutions to make the subways even safer. New Yorkers can expect to see more and more police officers and cameras in the subways to keep people safe.

The safety is fine. The reliability is disastrous.
What a show !! Doesn’t get better than this
Of course I will go with all smiles and bravery when I have an entourage of protection with me.
Maybe if criminals are actually arrested, locked up and kept there- without any extra amenities and comforts. Maybe that may prove to be a deterrent.. who knows?
A waste of money and resources!
“Be careful with the ruling authorities for they do not befriend a person except for their own needs; they seem like friends when it is to their own interest, but they do not stand by a man in the hour of his distress.”
