N’shei Chabad of Ramat Beit Shemesh (Anglo Division) held the final Hakhel event of the year on Sunday night at the home of Mrs. Hindy Lewis: a well-attended Chai Elul farbrengen led by Chava Sokol, Leah Shaina Biton and Shulamis Saxon, three local and popular educators.
It was also a beautiful way to welcome ladies who recently settled in our community.
Mrs. Sokol spoke about the concept of Teshuva, engaging the audience as she gave a different Torah- and Chassidus-based view of how to achieve true Teshuva and how to approach Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur. Mrs. Biton spoke about Chai Elul, bringing down some previously unknown information and insights into the significance of this Yom Tov, and Mrs. Saxon connected the end of Hakhel and the approaching New Year in a way that not only was informative but was also entertaining and inspiring.
What made this farbrengen even more enjoyable was the singing of nigunim and dancing, led by Chava Sokol who played the keyboard and really energized the ladies. Everyone felt that this final gathering of the year was not only a fitting end to this year of Hakhel, but is also a pathway to future farbrengens and events in Ramat Beit Shemesh. N’shei Chabad is already planning future events for 5784 and are looking forward to welcoming even more RBS ladies!
