Norma Hillman, long-time Chabad community member in New York and Miami, passed away on 11 Teves, 5779.
Necha Mindel (Norma) was born in 1926 to George (Gershon) and Anna (nee Lesser) Eiberson, pillars of the Long Beach, NY Jewish community.
She was a descendant of Rabbi Yonason Eibeshutz, ZTL.
She married Lester Hillman, OBM, a World War II veteran, in 1950, and had two daughters, Sara and Joan (Yaffa), while living in Manhattan.
Norma was a devoted daughter and continued to work in her parents’ business, Art Brite Wallpaper Co. until she retired and moved to Florida.
She was an active community member, known for her generosity and involvement in Jewish causes and institutions, including the Crown Heights Women’s Mikvah.
She was a strong supporter of Israel and spent time as a civilian volunteer in the IDF.
Norma was a gracious hostess and her home was open to many visitors, including Benyamin Netanyahu and other dignitaries.
She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother “Babu”, great-grandmother and aunt.
She was predeceased by her brother, Judge M. Arthur Eiberson, OBM, of Long Beach, NY.
She is survived by her daughter Sara Muchnik of Crown Heights.
Sara Muchnik will be sitting shiva at 1406 Carroll St from Motzei Shabbos to Thursday morning.
During the week (Monday –Wednesday) the family is requesting private time between the hours of 1:00PM-4:00PM and not to stay later than 10 PM.

Sara, I’m so sorry to read of your loss, your mother AH was a lovely, refined & special lady, a real Baales Chesed & Baales Tzedaka. She derived so much nachas from you and your family. She will be missed.

and spoke her mind. She was full of humor and I always left her with uplifting spirits.
