The staff of Ohel Chabad-Lubavitch, the organization that oversees arrangements at the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s gravesite in Queens, are preparing to host thousands for a Shabbos with full accommodations.
Parshas Korach, June 11-12, is the Shabbos before Gimmel Tammuz, the Rebbe’s yahrzeit, and Lubavitchers from far and near will be continuing a tradition to spend it near the Old Montefiore cemetery in Cambria Heights.
Over 2,500 people of all ages were at last year’s Shabbos.
In a conversation with COLlive.com, the Ohel management said reservations should be made by Sunday night, June 6, by calling 718-723-4545 or email [email protected].
There will be 3 locations where guests will be staying. The houses ajacent to the Ohel house at 226-20 Francis Lewis Blvd, a hall and a large tent that can hold up to 800 people – both on the corner of 121 Avenue and Springfield Blvd.
“Sleeping accommodations are only available for Friday night,” they specified.
This year the police will not be allowing motor homes to be parked over the weekend near the Ohel or the cemetery. They will be redirected in the parking lot near the large sleeping tent.

B”H I will not have to worry about making these reservations because my Rebbe is in 770! He has proved it to me countless of times in the past 15 years with outright miracles! I don’t need any more proof other than my own experiences. For which I say Ashreinu that I have a Rebbe who watches over me 24/7 and guides my every footstep.
There is a great party there.
fill up the ohel as much as possible so that the rebbe can daven with just believers!

The zohar which you refer to is talking about hishtatchus, namely davening ect. not being in the daled amos which is no problem, and a very inspiring way to spend shabbos. Besides it is brought that certain parts of the neshoma are present on shabbos as well.
Extremely hard to comprehend why a devout follower of the Lubavitcher Rebbe would want to spend a Shabbos at the Ohel as appossed to 770.
The Rebbe clearly said Moshiach will first be nisgale in 770, wouldn’t a chossid want to be there on the holy Shabbos before Gimmel Tammuz?
I have a friend who is a baal Teshuva who spent Shabbos at the ohel . He said it was his worst Shabbos ever.
He is no Meshachist.
I highly recommend shluchim if your hergesh is to spend Shabbos at the ohel go there yourself don’t drag your mekuraviim there you could turn them off from Yidishkite.
whoever has a problem with someone going to the ohel on shabbos will also have a problem with someone going during the week. go see a doctor
Get educated before you speak there are shuls and schools by kevarim of tzadikim all over the world, and they dont leave on shabbos they are there on shabbos and yom tov in fact the rabbeim used to go on shabbos and there are letters in the igros of the rebbe rashab about going on shabbos and yom tov #2 in the shulchan aruch it says that one does not to to a kever on 5 times a year 1 – shabbos 2 – chol hamoed 3 – rosh chodesh 4 – chold hamoed 5 – hoshana rabbah in the… Read more »
nice to see that theres great management at the ohel!
in any case there will be more room in 770
1. the yechida which is the main part of the neshama is there. 2. theirs a famous incident in 5712 in which the rebbe almost ended up staying in the ohel for rosh hashana but did not do to a lack of a shofar. 3.this im not sure as to which rebbe it was so if s/o could help it would be grea. but there were some chasidim that davened at the ohel of i think the rebbe rashab for yom kippur and the frierdikeh rebbe told them that being that you will be by the rebbe please have me… Read more »
Correct. Lchura,it should be viewed exactly like Beth Israel. Especially to those which believe that the Rebbe is Chai vkayim Bgashmius.
but tzadikim are not in the kever on shabes
your prob. a person that when the rebbe was in the hospital, you also stayed in 770….my point is, that wherever the rebbe is a chossid is…..
MAYBE THERE IS NO REASON BUT YOU CANT?
Please please make sure to email your reservation as it will make it a lot easier for us to accomodate YOU again help us help you and send in th reservations
A. The Rebbe didn’t say it, its a Zohar
B. The Rebbe DID say the the Ohel IS NOT considered Kivrey Tzadikim rather the Rebbe’s new (albeit temporary) home
You are 100% correct . It says this in the holy “ZOHAR”.
the reebe said you cant spend shabos at the ohel because the tzadikim are not found there on shabbos and yom tov
