Machon L’Yahadus students come from colleges and high schools around the world. Their friends, former classmates and neighbors are experiencing first-hand the uptick of anti-Semitism.
There’s no anti-Semitism on our campus. But what we DO have are students who are engaged in learning and growing as proud Jews!
And they’re in touch with friends and family, sharing positivity, and encouraging them to do another good deed for the safety of our soldiers and the return of the hostages.
Machon L’Yahadus students are on the spiritual front lines.
They immerse themselves in a rigorous curriculum that ranges from learning Hebrew to delving into the deepest concepts in Chassidus. And they are guided in their journey by a dedicated, non-judgmental stuff headed by Rabbi Shloma Majeski, renown education, scholar and author.
Their devotion to learning, davening, Tehillim, mivtzoyim and tzedaka is inspiring.
A sweet example of their devotion to learning:
Last week, on the way to do the Dor Yesharim test that was taking place in Beth Rivkah High School, two of our students were determined not to miss class even for something so important. So, as they walked from our school building on Eastern Parkway to Beth Rivkah Crown Street they zoomed into Megila class with Mrs. Rivky Perlstein. As they waited in line and on their way back to school as well, they were totally tuned in!
An example of their devotion to davening:
A Tuesday “Davening Circle” was started just yesterday, at the request of the students themselves. They asked program coordinator Rivkah Luchins to lead the Davening Circle. The students want to make sure that they are davening properly and know the halachos. They also want to know the customary tunes down pat so they’ll be able to G-d willing daven with their own children someday. (They also asked that once a week everyone sings Birchas HaMazon together for the same reason.)
And an example of their dedication to tzedaka:
Our students have been devoting their free time each evening back at school to make phone calls for our current campaign, raising $360,000. https://raisethon.com/machonlyGrab this unique opportunity to partner with us, assuring that our students grow into strong, proud Jewish women today and tomorrow’s Jewish leaders!
