Over 50 Shluchim, lay leaders and college students from across New Jersey joined Senate President Stephen Sweeney at the New Jersey State House for the annual Menorah lighting, sponsored by the Rabbinical College of America.
Speaking in Trenton, Rabbi Moshe Herson, Dean of the RCA and Regional Director of Chabad New Jersey, expressed his gratitude to the legislators, past and present, for the continued support of this wonderful annual event.
“We are very proud” stated Herson, “to make this our 32nd consecutive year of bringing light to the State House in New Jersey, participated by governors and state officials from across both sides of the isle.”
Master of Ceremonies Mr. Miles Berger, a trustee of the RCA, presented state senate President Sweeny with a Menorah and thanked him for his leadership.
Lively music and singing was performed by Choni Teitelbaum, and all the festive Chanukah foods made the evening incredibly special.
Mr. Mark Levenson of West Orange New Jersey lit the Menorah, and was joined by Rabbi Herson, Miles Berger, Rabbi Boruch Klar and Secretary of Agriculture Mr. Dougles Fisher.
