Over the past four years, Yeshiva Bais Schneur has been at the forefront of providing cutting-edge education with a unique program tailored to Zal aged Bochurim.
Building on the success of its previous offerings, Bais Schneur is committed to maintaining the structure and environment of a typical mainstream Yeshiva while diversifying the learning program to meet the individual needs of each student. This approach ensures that the educational experience is both enriching and engaging, offering healthy and creative outlets within the Yeshiva program.
This upcoming year marks the introduction of a new and innovative style of learning, incorporating what is known as “differentiated instruction.” Departing from the traditional large classroom setting, students will now be paired up and assigned their own learning program by their teachers. This personalized approach allows teachers to closely monitor and support each student’s progress, answering questions and providing encouragement throughout their journey. By tailoring the curriculum to suit the unique learning skills of each student, Bais Schneur ensures that every Bochur is adequately challenged.
The Yeshiva’s ability to offer such a tailored program is made possible by maintaining a high staff-to-student ratio, ensuring that each student receives the attention and guidance they deserve.
As part of its commitment to holistic growth, Yeshiva Bais Schneur is launching a unique extracurricular program, a first among Zal programs. During lunch and supper breaks, students will have the opportunity to participate in various skill-based training electives that extend beyond traditional learning.
The extracurricular programs on offer include:
Fitness Training: Students engage in various forms of exercise, weightlifting, and learn about healthy eating habits. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate to showcase their knowledge in the subject.
Computer Coding: In this elective, students delve into coding fundamentals, algorithms, and website creation.
Mixed Martial Arts: Focusing on self-defense techniques, this program will not only teach students how to protect themselves but also provide a great workout.
Additionally, Bais Schneur has a compassionate and dedicated frum therapist on staff who is available to support and assist students facing mental or emotional challenges.
The learning program is designed to be incentive-based, encouraging and rewarding the students for their achievements. Every month, there is a large trip, often involving skiing in the winter, and weekly nature excursions. Throughout the year, students can participate in Mivtzah Torah, where they are rewarded with two Mivtzoim Road trips.
By fostering a supportive and engaging environment, the Yeshiva is dedicated to nurturing each student’s growth academically, physically, and emotionally. The implementation of differentiated instruction and the diverse extracurricular options reflect Yeshiva Bais Schneur’s commitment to excellence in education and personal development.
