The writing of a new Torah has begun on Thursday, in memory of little Rivka Koncepolski obm, who tragically passed away this week at the tender age of 18 months.
Family and friends of her grieving parents, Rabbi Mendy and Dobi Koncepolski, Shluchim in S. Paulo, Brazil, gathered for the beginning of the Torah at their home in which they are sitting Shiva.
“Shock and pain ripped through our lives just 48 hours ago, when our beautiful little girl, Rivka z”l, prematurely left this world at the tender age of 18 months,” Rabbi and Mrs. Koncepolski wrote.
“Please join us in creating this eternal legacy in her memory,” they asked.
Upon completion, the Sefer Torah will be placed at Yeshiva Lubavitch, Sao Paulo, where Rivka’s father serves as administrator and her grandfather, Rabbi Shamai Ende, serves as Rosh Yeshiva.
