New Torah Dedicated at Chabad of Playa del Carmen

For the first time in Playa del Carmen, Mexico and on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of Chabad of Playa del Carmen’s activities, a new Torah was dedicated in honor of the Rebbe’s 120 years of leadership.

The Torah was donated to the Chabad House in the resort town of Playa del Carmen, directed by Shluchim Rabbi Mendel and Chaya Goldberg, by the Sousana Family from Paris, France.

The writing of the final letters took place in the Chabad house, after which tourists and guests headed out into the streets of the town in a joyous parade in honor of the Torah.

At the end of the parade, a magnificent festive meal was held in the hall of the Chabad House.
