Shoppers at the new Target Shopping Center in Encino, in the San Fernando Valley in California, were surprised to find a giant Menorah stationed at the store’s entrance.
Shluchim in the Valley in California reached out to the store’s corporate offices to obtain permission to hold a public Menorah lighting at the new store.
Within 48 hours, permission was obtained, and a grand Chanukah celebration was planned.
Over 500 people attended, participating in a Menorah lighting ceremony and enjoying Chanukah treats.
