The new cookbook “Simply – Simple Gourmet. Every Day” by Rivky Kleiman was recently launched at an event held at the showroom of AJ Madison Home & Kitchen Appliances Store in Brooklyn, New York.
Kleiman, a recipe developer and co-author of the staple Bais Yaakov cookbooks, presents an array of dishes, featuring over 140 recipes and a dedicated section of “Simple Suppers” of menu options that are filled with tips and tricks, pairings, and prep-ahead suggestions to navigate suppers.
The event titled “Taste the book experience” was organized by Fleishig magazine and invitations were sent to subscribers and each attendee received a fabulous swag bag filled with goodies. “We love and appreciate our readers and really enjoy making events for them,” says Shifra Klein of Fleishigs magazine.
Personal chef and recipe developer Jacqueline Elbaz delighted attendees with 12 recipes made from the new cookbook. “These recipes are so straight forward and granted I only had 36 hours to make them for a hundred people, that says a lot!” says Elbaz.
Fellow cookbook author Miriam Pascal, who runs the brand Overtime Cook, attests that Kleiman put her heart and soul into the new cookbook. “Rivky makes sure to test her recipes so well until they are just perfect and it shows,” she commented.
British baker and Cake decorator Jenny Hollander lauded the recipes as attainable, noting that she often makes them for Shabbos. Two of her favorites are the cauliflower rice and the Lotus cake. “Rivky’s recipes are easy to follow and delicious,” says fellow baker Joy Wilson of New York.
Chaya Suri of Spice and Zest agreed, saying that Kleiman’s recipes “are simple, doable and she understands flavor very well.”
Kleiman gave a cooking demo followed by a tour of the AJ Madison showroom showcasing their latest appliances while tasting the many delicacies from her new cookbook. A great time was had by all.
Motti Gross, owner of AJ Madison, was thrilled to host the event in his Boro Park showroom. “Food is such a central part of our lives,” he says. “When we have the right appliances, machines and resources it makes cooking for our loved ones and entertaining so much easier.”
