Rabbi Ephraim and Shprintza Balter (nee Flint) and their children Esther and Abie will be moving out to the Meadowlands, New Jersey to serve as the new Shluchim to the area.
The Meadowlands is known as the location of the world-famous MetLife Stadium, home of the Giants and the Jets, and host to the Siyum Hashas of Daf Yomi.
It is also home to the American Dream Mall, which attracts millions of visitors around the year.
The Balters will be heading up the outreach activities throughout the region.
This includes outreach and Chabad activities at the American Dream Mall and the many Mivtzoim opportunities available at MetLife Stadium events. Already this year Rabbi Balter initiated weekly “Mivtzoim at MetLife” reaching out to hundreds of Jewish football fans during tailgate and enabling them to discover and connect to their Judaism.
The Balters will also be directing Chabad on Campus activities at local private universities.
As well, they will be launching CTeen and youth programming for families affiliated with the Rutherford Chabad House and Hebrew school headed by Rabbi Yitzchok and Bina Lerman.
