With gratitude to Hashem, through the Rebbe’s brachos, Lubavitch of Wisconsin is excited to announce the appointment of Rabbi Lev and Talia Voskoboynik, by Rabbi Yisroel Shmotkin, head shliach of Lubavitch of Wisconsin, as the new shluchim dedicated to serving the Jewish college students of Milwaukee.
They will be spearheading the revitalized Chabad on Campus of Milwaukee, an organization committed to enriching the Jewish experience for students across several universities, including the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), Marquette University, Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC), and the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Rabbi Lev and Talia bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to their new roles, building on their successful one-year internship at the University of Kansas. Their hands-on experience there has equipped them with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively engage and support the Jewish student community in Milwaukee. They are eager to “hit the ground running” with a variety of programs and initiatives designed to foster a vibrant Jewish life on campus.
The Voskoboyniks are committed to providing a warm and welcoming environment where students can explore and celebrate their Jewish identity. Their plans include regular tabling sessions on campus, weekly learning opportunities, lively Shabbos meals, comforting chicken soup deliveries, and a host of mental health and wellness programs. Additionally, they will offer a range of Israel-related programs, social events, and many other activities to meet the diverse needs and interests of Jewish students.
Rabbi Lev and Talia’s personal journey as they were growing up, bring a relatable perspective to their interactions with students. Their own experiences allow them to connect on a deeper level with those who may be exploring their Jewish roots or seeking to deepen their connection to their heritage.
Lubavitch of Wisconsin is confident that Rabbi Lev and Talia Voskoboynik will build upon the solid foundation laid by their predecessors and bring new energy and innovation to Chabad on Campus of Milwaukee. Their dedication and passion for Jewish life are sure to inspire and engage the students they serve.
We look forward to the positive impact they will have on the lives of Jewish college students in Milwaukee.
