Touro University is excited to announce the NextGen Chinuch Fellowship, funded by a private donor, geared to support and equip aspiring mechanchim from the Chabad community for a career in limudei kodesh teaching. This fellowship will be offering a limited number of generous scholarships to passionate and inspiring young men who enroll in a BA program at Touro’s School for Lifelong Education and upon completing their degree, pledge to teach in a co-educational Jewish day school in North America for four years. Participants who are selected will emerge with a fully accredited BA, with a focus in education, will participate in special seminars and gain some experience in a Jewish day school.
“This is an important initiative for the field and community. Touro University looks forward to helping make this a success,” said Dr. Breindy Stern, Dean of Touro’s School for Lifelong Education.
To be eligible for the fellowship, candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, have completed at least two years of post-secondary yeshiva, and be admitted to Touro University.
